Volunteers are a vital part of
| Members of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program). |
| Teenagers/Youth. |
| Community groups, including church groups, school groups, and civic groups. |
| Youth groups, including the 4-H Club, Brownies, Boy and Girl Scouts, and after school programs. |
| Retired business people and homemakers. |
| Working adults of all ages. |
| Residents also volunteer, helping other residents with an activity. |
Our volunteers offer us from one to several hours per week. Without the dedication and commitment of our hard-working volunteers, we would be unable to offer our residents the varied activities and programs which they enjoy.
Our volunteer needs vary depending on residents specific needs, activities, and programs offered during the year.

The benefit of becoming a volunteer at the Grafton County Nursing Home is you get a feeling of self worth and the realization of brightening the lives of others.
Volunteer Needs:
More volunteers are needed to assist with special activities, such as crafts, men's groups, reading groups or reading and musical programs.
We welcome individual or groups to come in and demonstrate special skills or hobbies that would be of interest to our residents.
Visit, read to, and assist residents with letters. Take residents outside during nice weather. Play cards or board games with residents. Tend the Country Cafe - serving coffee and snacks to residents, friends, and their family members. Help with group activities such as, bingo, pokeno, bowling, etc. Provide music - playing the piano, an instrument or singing. Assist with special events, such as Family Day, Monte Carlo Night, Trick-or-Treat Street, Christmas parties, Assist wheelchair residents to special events.
